loophouse's delicious new collection was designed for Food with Thought event 2009 in the iconic Borough Market. 'Apples & Pears' is a playfully sophisticated range of rugs inspired by vibrant market life in London - highlighting scrumptious fruits in bold imagery, and the vivid colours of market stall drapery. The collection's namesake is the well loved cockney rhyming slang meaning 'stairs'. The event took place during the London Design Festival within Borough Market, SE1.
An addition to this collection is the upcoming 'Oranges & Lemons' series of designs, based on a children's nursery rhyme referring to the bells of churches within the City of London.
